Archbright’s Engagement and Satisfaction Survey (ESS) is a measurement tool designed to uncover underlying dissatisfaction and disengagement within an organization and set the stage for developing an action plan to resolve any issues found through the process.
The survey is derived from the work of a think tank of employer experts across the country and is based on the analysis of over 28,000 employee surveys. The Engagement and Satisfaction Survey consists of approximately 70 “strongly agree/agree/disagree/strongly disagree” items and two written response items to measure the following:
Because employees can be satisfied, but not engaged, the Survey also reports on Employee Engagement levels.
Engaged employees are more likely to provide discretionary effort, and thus are more productive. Engaged employees are also more collaborative, react more positively to change, persist longer at difficult tasks, help others, and are more committed to the organization’s mission and vision.
While employees can be satisfied, they often are not engaged!
