09:00 am - 12:00 pm Pacific Time

Virtual Class

Number of Seats Available: 25

Having an anti-harassment policy or sexual harassment policy is not enough. Organizations are at risk if managers and employees are not trained to be sensitive to conduct that may be construed as harassment or creating a hostile work environment. Additionally, regular training in unlawful harassment prevention is one component that allows employers to use the powerful affirmative defense against claims of harassment and discrimination in the workplace. Workplace Harassment Awareness encourages mutual understanding, sensitivity, and respect among employees. The training is interactive, with group discussions and scenarios designed to help employees apply their knowledge. Instructors will present all content, including scenarios, with compassion and sensitivity to employees’ experiences.

After completing this course, employees will be able to:

  • Define harassment, discrimination, and abusive conduct
  • Identify the negative effects of wrongful behavior
  • Effectively respond to incidents of harassment
  • Do their part in preventing, addressing, and correcting wrongful behavior in the workplace

In addition to the above, after completing this course, supervisors and managers will be able to:

  • Know what to do when they receive a complaint of harassment
  • List possible courses of action if workplace harassment is suspected
  • List examples of supervisory behaviors that promote a safe and harmonious workplace environment
  • Explain the primary role of a supervisor during a harassment investigation
