Course Description

At one time or another, most people will find themselves in a job search. Research suggests this is happening more frequently, with a 2023 Bureau of Labor Statistics news release reporting that Americans have held 12 jobs by age 55.

This course provides practical tools and strategies for navigating the current job market. Participants will learn how to develop their professional identity, craft an effective resume, optimize a LinkedIn profile, develop a strategy for their job search, and prepare effectively for interviews.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Document their work history, work values, education, and skills
  • Create a professional identity aligned with their career goals, resume, and social media
  • Develop a job search strategy, including the use of job boards and LinkedIn
  • Identify the importance of networking and take steps to expand their network
  • Prepare for all aspects of the job interview process
