Course Description

When it comes to meeting the compliance rules for forklift training, employers may not be aware of how difficult it truly is to properly train and document this process.

Employers must properly train all forklift drivers at their company regardless of experience and document the process. Forklift Train-the-Trainer was created to allow a competent employee to inform, train, evaluate, and certify new or experienced forklift operators to meet OSHA and WISHA codes.

You receive a DVD, a Flash Drive with a PowerPoint training program that complements the DVD, sample tests, and many other handouts designed to help train your forklift operators.

Note: This class does not involve forklift driving, but will instead help your trainer design the skills component of your in-house drivers’ training to meet the code.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Prepare the workplace for forklift training, including a hazard assessment of work areas.
  • List the required content areas that a forklift trainer must cover to meet Washington State regulations.
  • Prepare a forklift training program to be delivered in the workplace.
