Course Description

Most organizations want the same things from project management: to finish tasks on time, stay on budget, improve quality, and avoid overloading their teams. But when overseeing multiple projects at once, it can be hard to keep everything moving smoothly.

Project Management Fundamentals will provide participants with an adaptable toolkit for project planning and oversight. Participants will alternate between project management theory and application, working in groups on a sample class project. They are also welcome to bring outlines of their own current and future projects for insight.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define project goals and deliverables
  • Increase buy-in with sponsor and stakeholder interviews
  • Improve on-time completion with a scope statement
  • Use rick assessment tools and prepare contingency plans
  • Organize and estimate project tasks to increase efficiency
  • Monitor implementation to keep projects on track
