Course Description

Have you ever assigned a task to someone, only to get a completely different result than you expected? While it’s easy to blame the other person’s poor listening skills, leaders can often take steps to make the delegation process more effective.

This class outlines a five-step process that will dramatically improve your delegation outcomes. You will also learn to determine what, when, and to whom you should delegate. This includes granting others an appropriate level of authority based on their learning level

Note: Delegating and Setting Expectations is offered as a stand-alone class and is also one module in our 3-day Management Fundamentals course.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Make successful decisions about what to delegate, when, and to whom
  • Grant an appropriate level of authority when assigning tasks
  • Apply a five-step process for setting performance expectations
  • Develop a plan to successfully set performance expectations for a specific task
